Tillerson said in response that sanctions have already been introduced in accordance with the law "On Countering America's Opponents through Sanctions". For example, they are already acting against Russian companies in the defense industry.

At the same time, he added that sanctions can be imposed against new citizens. "We are considering additional persons for the possible introduction of sanctions," said Tillerson. Earlier it became known that the US Justice Department had brought official charges against 13 Russian citizens and three organizations for alleged interference in the presidential election of 2016. The list included 13 people, all - employees of the company "Internet Research Agency". So, among them was businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin.
