Switzerland is ready to introduce a visa-free regime for Ukrainians after the European Union decides.

This was discussed during a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin with the head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland Didier Burkhalter, MFA press service.

"The need for the signing of agreements was noted in the discussion of subjects of bilateral visa facilitation and readmission.

The Swiss side also confirmed its readiness to introduce a visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens, after the relevant decision by the EU ", - the report says.

In addition, the Swiss side was informed of the continuing tense situation in the Donbas and the progress of reforms in Ukraine.

Ministers emphasized their mutual interest in the further successful development of trade-economic and investment cooperation.

As reported by the "Observer", the European Parliament approved a mechanism for the suspension of visa-free travel to third countries.
