Pensioners who have disappeared without a trace are deprived of the right to a pension. But provided that this information about them is included in the Unified Register, the Pension Fund says.

“A person acquires the status of a missing person under special circumstances, from the moment the information contained in the statement of the fact of disappearance is entered into the Unified Register of Missing Persons in Special Circumstances, in the manner prescribed by law, and is considered to be missing without.

At the same time, in order to resume the payment of a pension, a person must personally apply to the bodies of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

The status of such persons is determined by the Law of Ukraine On the Legal Status of Missing Persons under Special Circumstances.

According to Article 47 of the Law of Ukraine On Compulsory State Pension Insurance, a pension is paid to a pensioner at the place of actual residence of a pensioner within Ukraine.

Taking into account the Law of Ukraine On the legal status of persons missing under special circumstances, a missing person is an individual in respect of whom there is no information about his whereabouts for a certain time. Despite this, during the war in Ukraine, pensioners who became IDPs or went abroad will continue to receive payments.

Recall that from next month - July 1 - indexation of pensions will take place in Ukraine. In addition, payments during the war will be carried out as usual..
