The White House is debating how to deal with the November G20 summit, the hosts of which received confirmation on Friday that Vladimir Putin plans to attend.. Joe Biden says Russia should be excluded from G20. Senior members of his administration have withdrawn from all G20 events where Russian delegates are. There were also discussions with host Indonesia about stepping up condemnation of Russia, CNN reports..

But not a single decision to boycott the summit, which is still six months away, has been made.. Biden spokeswoman Jan Psaki said it's too early to tell what the meeting will look like.

The White House is convinced that the G20 collectively will not be able to remove Russia from its ranks, since this decision will probably require consensus. And the Chinese authorities have clearly stated that they do not support such a move.. We are talking about a slightly different scenario than the one when Russia was expelled from the G8 after the annexation of Crimea.

Indonesia invited Putin even before Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine. However, in his statement, the President of the country noted the unity between the member countries.

" Don't split. Peace and stability are the key to the resumption and development of the global economy,"

Recall that the G20 is a group of finance ministers and central bankers of the 20 most powerful economies in the world.. They make up 90% of the world's GNP, 80% of world trade and two-thirds of the world's population..
