The new double-track railway line, erected in the Voronezh and Rostov regions on the Zhuravka-Millerovo section, handed over by the builders in August this year, will finally take the first trains with passengers in a month. Earlier, the South-Eastern Railway reported the launch of freight trains.

"In connection with the commissioning of the Zhuravka-Ocharovka-Bochenkovo ??section, the route of passenger trains will change from November 15, 2017," the South-Caucasian Railway press release said on Tuesday, October 3, quoted by RIA Novosti,. It is reported that trains from Moscow to Kislovodsk, Anapa, Novorossiysk, Adler and back, the two-story train from St. Petersburg to Adler and back, will be the first to bypass the Nezalezhnaya.

The maximum speed of passenger trains will be 140 km / h, freight - up to 90 km / h. In the summer period it is planned to load a gauge up to 190 trains per day, most of which will be long-distance passenger trains.

The construction of the Zhuravka-Millerovo railway bypassing Ukraine began after the deterioration of relations with post-Maid of Kiev in 2014. The cost of the branch was estimated at about 56 billion rubles. A new railway with a length of 137 km runs all the way across Russia.
