Siemens intends to break the contract with companies from Russia

The company intends to break the contract with companies from Russia after the scandal with the supply of gas turbines in the occupied Crimea. As stated in the official press release of Siemens, they received information on the illegal supply of four turbines to the Crimea.

Pipes were redesigned for a power plant in Taman.

Such actions in the concern were regarded as a gross violation of contracts for the supply of Siemens and the rules of the European Union, the company said..

They also added that Siemens continues to initiate criminal cases against responsible persons from the Russian side, as well as filing lawsuits to stop other supplies to the Crimea and ensure the return of turbines to Taman.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, according to media reports, Siemens CEO Joe Kezer is studying the possibility of withdrawing from Russia. However, from official comments in Siemens refused.
