In an emergency warning, the Ministry of Emergency Situations requested that you refrain from entering the street, wait out the bad weather at home, avoid trees, unstable structures, stopping complexes, billboards, roofs. The penultimate orange danger level was announced. The administration closed the VDNH and Gorky Park for visitors in advance.

Alas, warning weather forecasters and the Ministry of Emergency Situations was not in vain. After 16:00 over the capital hung dark clouds, heavy rain began. The wind was pouring trees and billboards. Somewhere, the storm began. Sharply cold. Rain, sleet, strong with gusts up to 25 m / s, wind. The fact that the weather spoils badly, was reported and by handsfree in the metro. The storm of the elements continued on the night from Saturday to Sunday. On Sunday the wind began to subside.

On the Internet, users posted a lot of photos with fallen trees (a hurricane knocked about 200 trees). Overturned designs, falling, smashed cars, shop windows.

Despite all warnings, there were victims. In the Mytishchi district, the wind was scanned by the cabins, which fell and crushed the 36-year-old man who died from the injuries. In Moscow, a gale-force wind threw garbage cans on two 13-year-old teenage girls. One doctor could not be saved, the second girl with concussion was hospitalized. In total, there are 17 victims, 14 hospitalized. Three of the victims - children.

Because of the hurricane there were breakages of electric networks in Vladimir, Tver, Ivanovo, Tula, Smolensk regions. Without power supply there were almost 900 settlements, in which about 73 thousand people live. 11 brigades and 15 engineering units are engaged in restoration work.

Bad weather made adjustments to the work of the capital's airports. Five flights, not accepted in Vnukovo, were sent to Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg. It is known about the delay and cancellation by the capital's airports of more than fifty flights: Domodedovo - 6 canceled, 9 detained, Vnukovo detained 22 flights, Sheremetyevo detained 16 flights.
