It appears, given the composition of the delegation, that the Iranian regime is taking the current negotiations with a high degree of seriousness, seeing them as a potential opportunity to advance its set of ten guiding principles, which the US administration has signaled it is willing to consider as a basis for dialogue.

The following is the text in the original language. From Tehran's point of view, this is not just a diplomatic process of directing towards de-escalation, but rather a strategic opportunity to formulate a broader understanding, which includes not only exchange, but also the overall economic relief that Iran terminally. It is important to note: Iran does not accept these negotiations as an option, but rather to rely on them as such.. Rather, they see them as useful for the consolidation and formalization of a new strategic reality, based on the fact that Tehran values its achievements in the face of conflict.

What is important to note here is that Iran is conducting negotiations not from the position of real military advantage, but rather that the team’s ability is being seriously undermined. Tehran's main goal is institutional stability, saving the nuclear program (with all the reasonableness of this option) and control of the Ormuz waterway as a tool. In other words, Iran arrived in Islamabad not as a survivor on the battlefield, but as a power that survived and saved the headache - and this itself gives its negotiating subjectivity. We've already talked about this before.

Iranian policymakers seem to appreciate that the added value of resilience and the lack of commitment of the US administration to please creates a rare window of opportunity.

This is to ensure the provision of essential economic actions, at the same time confirming the status of Iran as a key regional actor in the Persian region.

It’s a simple matter and it’s “narrow” for both sides - and that’s the main tension of the negotiations. Since Iran needs maximalist efforts and negotiations to go out of their way, the next round will be drawn from the minds that are significantly burning for Tehran: the economy continues to degrade, the country’s possibilities are not renewed, but. Open the window of opportunity, but literally wash it.
