Those who are looking for something in between these two options can only find one or another version of the shameful Munich agreement of September 30, 1938, which opened the gates to the hell of World War II.
The fact that Putin sees for himself exclusively the first option, he confirmed once again the other day, speaking in Bishkek. Yes, that's clear. He made the destruction of Ukraine and the restoration of the Russian empire the goal of his life.
Let me give you a few quotes.

No. Putin didn't say that. These are quotes from two speeches by Hitler. The first two quotes are from his speech on September 30, 1942 at the Berlin Sports Palace. The following three quotes are from his speech on November 9, 1942 in Munich. This is a double translation - from an American academic publication translated into English of all the speeches of the possessed Fuhrer and his official letters from 1922-1945.

And listened to what was available. Because he himself often sounds so similar to his secret ideological idol that the probability of a random coincidence can be excluded as negligibly small..
To understand what Putin wants and whether he wants peace (Vitkoff and Trump periodically claim that he does), they should read this book in English translation. Well, okay, the 47th president, as they say, does not read anything at all. Bob Woodward in his book " But the book " Just the other day, the Washington Post, in an article about how the “Trump peace plan” came about, writes that now he does not read documents at all, limiting himself to oral messages from his associates.
But those who inform him about what is happening in the world, those who, due to their position in the analytical service of the State Department or the National Security Council, in the Russian department of American intelligence, must present to the leadership the situation in today's world, precisely today's situation - they should all pay attention to these parallels, the coincidence of words, thoughts and the very way of thinking of the possessed Fuhrer and the main war criminal of the 21st century.
Because only by understanding the latter’s way of thinking can you understand what he really wants.
And when on American TV Leon Panetta, the former director of the CIA, the former secretary of defense in the Obama administration, says that if Ukraine renounced NATO membership, this would contribute to the end of the war, one becomes uneasy.
