The Swedish government has approved the 17th package of military aid for Ukraine, the total amount of which is 4.6 billion Swedish kronor, which is equivalent to 443 million US dollars. The Swedish Ministry of Defense reported this.

Now with official release, the new package of military aid for the disintegration is tailored to the needs of Ukraine and may ensure greater freedom of action for the Ukrainian armed forces in the future.

As part of this package, Ukraine will receive small-caliber projectiles of 40 mm caliber, which are intended for automatic weapons, which were previously supplied simultaneously with the Stridsfordon 90 infantry fighting vehicle. In addition, Sweden will provide camouflage for PBV 302 armored personnel carriers, anti-tank minis, RBS 70 man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS), grenade launchers with ammunition, as well as six combat boats.

In addition to technical assistance, Sweden will transfer to Ukraine helmets, winter clothing, protective masks and protective equipment for work in congested environments. Initial equipment for recruits and ammunition for water activities will also be provided..

With the approval of this new aid package, the total amount of military aid from Sweden to Ukraine since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of Russia by the end of 2022 exceeded 4.6 billion dollars. This confirms Sweden's strong support for Ukraine's military needs.
