The European Commissioner for Internal Trade, Thierry Breton, has introduced a proposal for the creation of a €100 billion European Union Defense Fund. This period is part of the wider European Defense Investment Program (EDIP), which aims to strengthen the EU's defense capabilities.

According to information seen by Politico, Breton plans to introduce EDIP 27 with the aim of harmonizing large-scale procurement and updating the internal development of the defense order.. The Promotion Fund is a key tool for ensuring the military autonomy of the EU.

Breton respected that there would be a negotiated defense at the EU summit. Having confirmed that the goal of producing 1 million artillery shells by the spring of 2024 is no longer achievable, this means an active change in the export of ammunition outside the EU.

According to Breton, the strong forces of the countries and the pressure on the defense industry are important for achieving this goal. We have determined that the EU can add voicings and compare with Russia by 1.5–2 rocks, voting on the importance of the strong potential.

Breton also found concern about the reliability of the reports of the allies of Ukraine and criticized the prominent defense ministers, who, in his opinion, were giving inadequate information to the outcry that faced in Europe at the hour of war.

The minds of defense are critically important for Ukraine, and the appearance of a defense fund may signify the importance of defeating the enemy. On the other hand, there is a clear fear that without proper support from the Sunset, Ukraine may find difficulties in its defense.
