As Deputy Mayor of Warsaw Tomasz Bratek said on Saturday, the Russian side did not immediately agree to leave the premises, they had to call a locksmith. Later, after negotiations, the Deputy Ambassador handed over the keys to a representative of the Polish authorities.
Vice Mayor Tomasz Bratek stressed that, according to the Russian side, 27 people lived there who voluntarily left the property and received guarantees that all their belongings and school equipment would be handed over to them by the city.

The Vice President of Warsaw recalled the history of the building at 45 Kieletska Street. From the side of Kieletska street, this is a historical building. In 1936 it was acquired by Jan Kiepura. After the war, the building passed to the communists by Warsaw decree, like all real estate in Warsaw. In 1953, the Ministry of National Defense donated the building to the Soviet embassy in Warsaw for perpetual use.. In 2010, the city terminated the contract with the Russian side, and since 2011, it has been conducting legal proceedings aimed at obtaining the appropriate writ of execution.
