The Boeing 737 aircraft of the Ukrainian low-cost airline SkyUp caught fire at the airport of Khartoum (the capital of Sudan) during the hostilities that swept the country today, April 15. The airline said on Facebook that an emergency beacon went off on one of the two aircraft in Khartoum.. The video, which was filmed at Khartoum airport, shows intense smoke formation on one SkyUp airliner. Another plane, an Airbus A330, was engulfed in smoke at the airport.

“We are doing this together with the Embassy of Ukraine in Egypt, the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Sudan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and other government agencies. SkyUp Airlines planes are in Sudan under a contract with Sun Air. Since the beginning of 2023, they have been flying to Cairo (Egypt), Riyadh and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).
