An hour after the opening of polling stations, correspondents from the polls, choking with happiness, reported on the rare unity of the Americans, as one vote for Democrats. Some, not knowing it, almost literally quoted the classics: “During the days of the holiday, the streets of New York seemed to be wide. “By the end of the long shift of face, the experts in the studio, however, acquired an ashy tint and seemed to hang out at once,” writes Efim Fishtein in a column on Radio Liberty..

The main commentator of the channel, the all-knowing Wolf Blitzer even seems to have turned grayer than usual.. It was a pity to watch him. He confusedly asked his colleagues the sacramental question: “But if it was a Trump referendum, then how could the results be read?” To which one of the analysts present answered with irritation: “What’s the result and what does it matter how to read them? ours and we can spoil Trump’s life for two years.

Actually, spoiling someone's life is not a very moral goal.. In the conditions of confusion reigning in American minds, it is completely unclear how this can turn out for the corrupters themselves.. This has happened before.

The last elections were called nothing less than fateful, and their significance is no less than the world-historic. Indeed, this could have happened if some had won, while others had lost.. But it turned out that some won, while others did not lose. The expected "blue wave" is not rolled, "blue tsunami" in the evening degraded into small ripples on the surface of the village pond. These glorious metaphors for some three hours are outdated to such an extent that it was indecent to use them.. The referendum passed without giving any answer to the question posed - because the question was posed incorrectly in principle.

According to expectations, the voter should angrily condemn the political behavior of Donald Trump. But the most recent public opinion polls (see, for example, data from the Harvard-Harris agency) show that the ever-growing majority of Americans trump's policy in general. But only 27% of respondents consider him to be a nice and nice person with whom they want to enjoy a beer.. You can't drink it with him - he is selfish and abstinent.

If elections can be considered as a referendum at all, it was a choice between word and deed, between efficiency and image, between the goal and the ways of achieving it.. In this field of high voltage, the question should be put differently: is it possible in principle to whip the stiffened public consciousness into cream, to build a new value system, after having destroyed the old one, but pronouncing all the same correct, worn out and fallen into dust phrases, observing the etiquette of the Institute for noble girls? Is it possible to be a petrel without a storm, a rebel without a riot? But this is a subject for special discussion..

To take a majority in the House of Representatives, 218 deputies need to be led there.. Democrats didn’t have much more. What is objectively enough is not always impressive.. After all, the victory happened after eight years of abusive stay in the minority, six of which were on the Obama administration. In the congratulations that Trump sent to Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, it seems to me sarcasm - they say, you don’t pull for more.

There was a joke - to the tricky question of a Soviet apparatchik: “And how many Jews are there in your orchestra?” The proud American answered: “We don’t count nationalities!” Since then, times and morals have changed. Today, just scrupulously count. The press widely represents to the public precisely those newcomers to the Congress who meet the requirements of political correctness, and, if possible, to several.

Representatives of the advanced detachments of humanity — women, ethnic minorities, progressive sexual orientations, and, of course, young — are especially proud - the younger the better. Most of all, complex combinations of all these advanced qualities are listed in one individual - such pulls on future leaders. They all call themselves "democratic socialists". That is, not just democrats, but more.. To suppose that the emotional epithet clarifies something important in political terminology is a typical misconception.. Liberal democracy, like Zhirinovsky. True communism. National Socialism with a human face.

The U-turn of the Democratic Party is no secret to anyone.. Democratic socialism, like any other, is a legitimate escape from the tree of Marxism-Leninism.. Everyone who happened to pass this science at the university knows that any society is divided into classes whose relations are an eternal struggle.. The primary predatory instinct of Marxists is to find oppressed, offended and offended, on whose behalf a political struggle for power can be fought.. If for some reason there are no such classes, then they have to be invented, driving the diversity of people under scholastic schemes.. Who is not sure of the right of social groups united by such speculative criteria for special benefits is a retrograde.

It would seem that with such a complexly combined approach, it is possible to unite almost the entire American society into a single electoral herd.. All of them are of different ethnic origin, different shades of color, who at different times migrated to America, with different sexual skills. But something does not work in a tricky notion. All sorts of workers and krasnosyee laborers long ago smelled something was wrong and ran into the anti-camp.

But the above are enough. With them, besides, paradoxically, and rich Americans, who have long since sensed unprecedented business opportunities in advanced teaching. They want a bright tomorrow to shine for them. Therefore, the donations of super-rich people to the Democratic election campaign exceeded by half the amount collected by the Republicans.. So why, in the end, the ninth shaft of victory turned out to be so shallow, and triumphal fanfare let the rooster in, like a cracked children's pipe? Because such is the law of physics: foam in the ninth shaft does not fold, there are too many bubbles and air voids in it.

The problem of the democratic socialists is that almost all the intellectual constructs that are supposed to form the basis of the new fundamental social ideology are weighed and considered light.. Political correctness led to consequences that were directly opposite to those expected: instead of the planned harmonization of society, it inflated tensions and discord in it. Leveling, as usual, more inequality scissors opened. The passionate pedaling of the characteristics of the sexual life of citizens has caused a steady aversion: each of us loves in his own way, why bring his preferences to the square, turning them into a political program?.

It is possible to persuade old-timers that only new settlers from the Afro-Asian backwoods will save them from inevitable degeneration, thus destroying the institution of marriage, but the effect quickly disappears. The tale that the new settlers, especially if they are Muslims, is smarter and more industrious than the old Americans, works even less, only it looks different, and all the problems are due to our mutual misunderstanding. In short, all recent polls show that the overwhelming, I would even say furious, the majority of those surveyed do not accept these original innovations: approximately 85 percent of respondents consider them progressive, but disgusting. This explains the sluggish results of the Democrats even better than the amount of dollars converted into votes..

The question, which in the new situation requires an urgent answer, comes down to the naive Yevtushenkovsky: “And then what? And then what?” In all disputes, one result at the output is not in doubt: Donald Trump managed to strengthen the unity in his party. Only those who shared the main goals of the president went to Congress, the votes of the inner-party opponents disappeared. Self-dissolving movement "non-trampist". No matter how this fact is assessed, unity in the presidential election in two years may be useful..

In the Democratic Party, the situation is exactly the opposite: dissent has become its trademark. Some people say: that's great - those who are for leftists, and those who are moderate. But others parry: never a moderate vote for the left. But the most important thing lies ahead: it is necessary to decide on a presidential candidate. Such a task usually causes in any party a serious confrontation, reminiscent of fighting without rules or a battle in the garbage can..

Of course, it will be possible to put steps, in every way to spoil life, but the most stupid excesses in the bud will repay the Senate, where Republicans even strengthened their positions. Today, only the most obstinate, authoritative democrats speak about impeachment and argue that the removal of the president from office has never been on their agenda.. But even if - you can never predict in whose favor the game will play. Investigator Robert Muller is ready to report back on the work done, and no rumors about the new evidence of Trump's collusion with Putin have yet to penetrate.

I suppose that about speculators think like this when deciding whether to invest in American assets or better to run away from them. If they consider the upcoming great disunity in society, then it’s time to take away the legs and capital. But in recent days, stock prices have gone up, it means that the stockbrokers have concluded that the timid triumph of the democrats does not threaten the stability of American markets.
