Scientists from the United States have determined the maximum period of time during which a person can be in a sitting position without harm to health. The study is published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, according to the American College of Physicians. Experts recommend to be in a sitting position no longer than half an hour. The data obtained indicate that, on average, about 16 hours a day, on wakefulness, about 12.3 hours a person is in a sitting position.
