70-year-old Pole Alexander Doub (Alexander Doba) crossed the Atlantic Ocean on a seven-meter kayak. This is reported by the publication of Metro. On Sunday, September 3, he reached the final point of his route - the French city of Le Conquet. Swimming began on May 16 in the Bay of Berniget in the US state of New Jersey. June 17, it became known that the steering wheel bent over the kayak, but Dobe managed to eliminate the damage and continue the way. In 2010, Dope was the first person to cross the Atlantic Ocean alone on a kayak.

In 2013, he again swam across the ocean and set the record for the longest distance, traversed by kayak through the open reservoir. In December 2016, a British policeman was reported who tried to cross the Atlantic Ocean by swimming. Because of jellyfish, strong waves and fish, which climbed into his ear, he swam slower than planned and in a few days interrupted the attempt.
