In the northeast of Paris, hundreds of supporters of the left-wing radical party gathered to express their protest. Against them, the police used tear gas, and then surrounded.

Protests also covered the cities of Grenoble, Poitiers, Strasbourg, Lyon, Nantes and Montpellier. In Nantes on the street came out 400 people. Law enforcers also dispersed them with tear gas. As a result of the clashes, one policeman and one independent photographer were injured. Police detained 13 people, seven of them arrested.

Emmanuel Macron won in the second round of the presidential elections in France according to exit polls. According to polls, Macron was voted from 65.5 to 66.1% of the French who came to the polls. For the leader of the "National Front" Marin Le Pen voted from 33.9 to 34.
