The Council of Europe in its report reported that Russia and Iran fall into a group of countries that abuse Interpol. According to the report of the organization, these countries use "red messages", which are used for tracing, temporary arrest and extradition, for political purposes, Radio Liberty reports..

The resolution of the Council of Europe states that in recent years countries that are subject to Interpol have noted the misuse of "red messages" by Russia and Iran. So, often these countries are on the wanted list of those who applied for political asylum in another country and flee from persecution.

Earlier it was reported that the deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe formally called the head of the PACE Pedro Agramunt to resign for his trip to Syria with the deputies of the Russian State Duma. Appeals to leave Agramunt from the PACE administration were expressed by the heads of the Socialist and the EPP factions.

Earlier, the delegations of Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland and Denmark in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe condemned the visit of PACE President Pedro Agramunt to Syria together with the Russian delegation. Delegations have written that they are distancing themselves from the visit of the head of PACE.

We remind that a delegation from the Czech Republic, Belgium, Serbia, Italy and Russia arrived in Syria, led by the head of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Pedro Agramunt. Parliamentary delegation announced its desire to resolve the crisis in Syria.
