It is reported that Zeman was supported by 200 thousand more people. In the second round, the confrontation was between the current president 73-year-old Milos Zeman and ex-head of the Academy of Sciences 68-year-old Jiri Dragos. Election commissions noted a higher activity of the electorate than it was in the first round.
As a result of the vote count, Zeman took 51.67 percent of the vote, and his opponent - 48.32 percent. 73-year-old Zeman is known, in particular, for his openly anti-Muslim views. He also repeatedly spoke out for the abolition of EU sanctions against Russia. Zeman is also ready to support cooperation with the PRC and Asian countries.
