The decision was taken at the request of the deputy from the Democratic Party, Sergei Syrbu, who appealed to the court on the eve. At the same time, the deputy justified his appeal by the fact that the president repeatedly refused to promulgate the law passed by the parliament on combating the so-called "Russian propaganda".

In the text of the appeal, the deputy asked judges to consider the appeal urgently because of a possible "constitutional blocking that could affect the work of the legislature".

Thus, the CSM decided that "temporary suspension" is necessary "to release the process of entry into force of legislative acts adopted by Parliament in accordance with the legislative procedure".

The Constitutional Court also confirmed that "the president has the right to refuse once only to promulgate legislative acts passed by the parliament". If the parliament repeatedly votes for the adoption of the law, then the head of state is obliged to disclose it.

Thus, the decree on the publication of the law on amending the code on television and radio will be signed by the Speaker of Parliament, Andrian Candu.

Recall, the Constitutional Court of Moldova temporarily suspended President Dodon from fulfilling his duties in order to release the process of renewing the composition of the government. KSM allowed the Speaker of Parliament or the Prime Minister to appoint new members of the government.

As reported URA-Inform, the chairman of the Moldovan Parliament Andrian Candu confirmed that he will act as president he.
