"We want to show a trip to Kiev and Mariupol to people in Ukraine: we do not abandon you, for us this conflict is neither frozen nor forgotten, but very relevant and fire-dangerous," the Foreign Minister of Germany said before departing for Ukraine.
Also, the head of the foreign ministry of Germany drew attention to the fact that last year in eastern Ukraine the greatest surge of violence was recorded from the moment of signing the Minsk agreements. At the same time, he called hope-inspiring signs the release of hostages and the agreement on a truce in connection with the New Year and Christmas holidays.
Recall, as reported by "URA-Inform", most recently German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel, said that Ukraine and Turkey will not enter the European Union, at least in the near future.
