So, only in 2017 the number of Ukrainians who seek asylum in Warsaw decreased from 1,306 to 635, compared with 2016. Also about 128 thousand Ukrainians requested permission in Poland for permanent residence. The Polish Embassy issued more than 91,436 work permits of various types, which is ten percent less than in 2016 - 103 thousand permits. The Polish consulate issued to our citizens almost one million Schengen and national visas.

In 2016, the rate of Ukrainian migration to a neighboring country fell by seven to eight percent.

As reported in "URA-Inform", the Polish government is confident that its programs for the reception of Ukrainian migrants significantly reduce the tension with migrants in the EU.
