It is connected with the visit by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin of the annexed Crimea. As stated in the statement of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, the "visit" of Putin to the peninsula, temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation, was held on November 18, 2017.

The Ukrainian side considers this "visit", as well as other trips of Russian officials to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, a flagrant violation of Russia's state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The Foreign Ministry also considers such actions a cynical and demonstrative disregard of the Russian side by generally recognized norms of international law.

Crimea and Sevastopol are and will remain an integral part of Ukraine in its internationally recognized borders, "the statement says..

At the same time, the Ukrainian Ministry recalls that this is recognized by the whole world, which has repeatedly given a proper assessment of Russia's internationally wrongful actions through the adoption of relevant resolutions by the United Nations, the Council of Europe, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, other international organizations, and the introduction of restrictive measures against her.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, Putin in the annexed Crimea opened a monument to Alexander III.
