The number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the manning of military units and the protection of arsenals must be increased by 10-20 thousand military. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Defense Igor Pavlovsky at the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense, "Ukrinform".

"Currently, the legal strength of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is 250 thousand. In order to accomplish all the tasks of manning combat units, even by 80-85% and guarding arsenals, this number is insufficient. Therefore, it needs to be increased by 10-20 thousand, "he said..

At the same time, Pavlovsky added that the protection of warehouses has now been strengthened through combat units.

In addition, answering the questions of the committee members, whether the information on the conviction of the previous commander of the ammunition depot in Kalinovka, Vinnytsia region, was true for non-compliance with firefighting measures, he said that the previous head of the warehouse was indeed convicted for "some violations".

At the same time, according to him, the new warehouse manager is trying to correct the shortcomings previously committed.
