The Interior Ministry intends to reform the security system at public events. First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs announced this today, July 1, during a meeting with the participation of the head of the National Police Sergey Knyazev with the heads of the special subunits of the National Police.

In particular, within the framework of the reform, improvement of the organizational and staff structure. It is not only about special forces, but also in general about coordinating actions both in the structure of the National Police and with other law enforcement agencies.

"We want to create an entirely new model for ensuring public security, which will be more efficient and easily integrated into the updated system of the National Police," said Sergei Yarovoy.

He added that today the Ministry of Internal Affairs has certain developments in the joint work of various units of the National Police, in particular patrol police and tactical groups, with units of the National Guard.

"We must all plan to know at what stage what forces to use. The events in the Dnieper clearly showed that there are certain problems in the work of our divisions at mass events. First and foremost, it was a misunderstanding of the situation by the police of the region and the lack of a common vision among the local authorities, "the first deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to Sergey Yarovoi, each head of the regional police department should clearly understand that having in his structure special purpose units, they do not need to cover all the problems.
