Jehovah's Witnesses published on their website a screen of the agenda in which their followers were obliged to report to the military commissariat of the Bakhchsarai district "on activities related to conscription" and to provide documents on the change of religion. It is alleged that there were only two such summons.

The religious organization specified that on June 9 in the commissariat the conscript was offered to undergo alternative civilian service. He agreed, adding that he had long sought this, but then the man was allegedly told that such a right would be granted only if he renounced his religious views.

"The believer was not told exactly which faith he should go to, and where to get such documents, but added that if he refused, he would go to court," the message says..

Military commissar of the Bakhchsarai district of the Crimea Pavel Vrublevsky said that he did not sign a summons demanding that the conscript provide documents on the change of faith. He told about this to the radio station "Says Moscow" on Monday, June 19.

"Inscriptions none of my employees did.

I officially addressed the FSB authorities to conduct an investigation into the fact of forgery of documents, on the fact of insulting my honor and dignity, "- noted Vrublevsky. He drew attention to the fact that the words about the "change of faith" were written by hand. "The whole text goes in the standard way, and the inscription is made by hand, an unidentified person. How can I be held accountable for the actions of an unidentified person? "- said the military commissar.
