Klimkin to visit Georgia on Friday - Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The head of the Ukrainian diplomatic department will stay there for two days and hold a series of meetings. This is stated in the message of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

According to the message, the minister travels to Georgia to intensify the political dialogue, prepare high-level events and coordinate positions on the international arena.

As a result of the visit, a joint statement of the foreign ministers of Ukraine and Georgia is expected to be signed, the statement said on the website of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.



At the same time, the Foreign Ministry noted that Klimkin plans to hold talks with Georgian Foreign Minister Mikhail Janelidze. He also has a meeting with Georgian President Georgi Margvelashvili, Prime Minister Georgi Kvirikashvili, leaders of the Parliament and other ministries of Georgia, as well as Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the visit of the Ukrainian Foreign Minister to Georgia, scheduled for March 17-18, was postponed due to his state of health.
