According to the investigation, former member of the parliamentary faction of the "Popular Front" Nikolai Martynenko is an accomplice in embezzling more than 17 million dollars of the state enterprise "Eastern Mining and Processing Plant". The specialized anti-corruption prosecutor's office agreed on the notification of Martynenko's suspicion, SAP head Nazar Holodnitsky said on his Facebook page on Thursday evening, April 20.

"Pre-trial investigation found that in the period from 2013 to 2016, a criminal organization consisting of officials of SE" VostGOK ", officials of STEUERMANN Investitions und Handelsgesellschaft GmbH, as well as a group of persons who had control over said enterprises, including Martynenko, was Wasted funds of SE "VostGOK" in the amount of 17 million 280 thousand US dollars by improper conclusion and subsequent fulfillment of the contract for the purchase and sale of uranium concentrate of State Enterprise "VostGOK" through the Austrian company-intermediary STEUERMANN ", - specified Colds.

Later, these funds were transferred to the accounts of STEUERMANN using offshore companies WARGRAVE TRADING LLP and DALLAS FUEL SA and assigned by participants in the criminal scheme.

"The presentation of the suspicion report was commissioned to be carried out by the detectives of the NABU," added the head of the SAP.

At the same time, Martynenko's lawyer Igor Tcherezov told reporters that the detectives of NABU had not yet given his client a notice of suspicion. He also said that he did not know which court would consider the petition of the prosecutor's office on Martynenko's choice of a preventive measure.
