The police started criminal proceedings on the fact of an attack on the veteran of the ATU and former defender of the Donetsk airport Dmitry Verbich, which took place the night before in Kiev.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on Thursday, May 3, information on this fact was included in the Single Register of Pre-trial Investigations under the article on hooliganism committed with the use of weapons (h. 4 items. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Persons involved in the commission of an offense face up to seven years in prison.

The Interior Ministry added that law enforcers interviewed witnesses and eyewitnesses of the incident, and also revised video from surveillance cameras. Now the police are looking for the attackers.
