The Kyiv prosecutor's office filed a suit with the Economic Court of the capital to return to the city the 12.7% stake in Kyivenergo previously owned by him, 61% - Kievgaz and 67% - Kievvodokanal, which more than 10 years ago were transferred to the authorized capital of Kyivenergoholding.

The total value of these shares is more than 1 billion hryvnia, the prosecutor of Kiev Roman Govda said today at a press conference.

He recalled that 12.7% of shares in Kyivenergo were subsequently transferred from the authorized capital of Kyivenergoholding to third legal entities. Today they are in the ownership of DTEK Energo.

According to him, DTEK's energy holding Rinat Akhmetov in this lawsuit is a bona fide purchaser of shares, since seven years have passed since their alienation, DTEK concentrated them only in 2014.

Govda also said that the court must in the next few days set a date for the consideration of the claim, while the prosecutor's office will ask to arrest shares of companies as an interim measure.

The prosecutor also added that the officials of the KCSA who contributed to this were found guilty in a separate criminal case, but are at liberty after the 10-year period of his prescription.

As reported, on August 18, the State Property Fund of Ukraine sold a blocking 25% stake in PJSC Kyivenergo at a starting price of UAH 759.6 million.

Recall previously reported that the Kyiv city state administration began negotiations with the Finnish company Fortum on the possible management of the energy complex in Kiev.
