What determines the amount of one-time cash assistance?.

The Ministry of Defense noted that the amount of assistance is tied to the subsistence minimum (ML) for able-bodied persons as of January 1 of the year in which the disability was established. Thus, according to the law on the State Budget for 2026, this figure is UAH 3,328.

If the disability is related to the defense of the Motherland or the performance of military service duties (wound, concussion, injury, mutilation), the amount of the benefit is determined as follows:.

for group I - 400-fold maximum, which is 1,331,200 UAH;

for group II - 300-fold maximum, that is, 998,400 UAH;

for group III - 250-fold maximum, which is equal to 832,000 UAH.

If the disability is related to military service (illness or accident not directly related to combat), the amounts are as follows:.

for group I - 120-fold maximum or 399,360 UAH;

for group II - 300-fold PM, t. 299,520 UAH;

for group III - 250-fold maximum, which is 232,960 UAH.

The same amounts (120/90/70 times the minimum wage) are provided for conscripts, reservists and those liable for military service at training camps.

The Ministry of Defense added that if, based on the results of an assessment of the daily functioning of a person, a percentage of loss of ability to work is established without establishing a disability group, associated with the defense of the Motherland or the performance of military service duties, the amount of one-time monetary assistance is determined in proportion to the established percentage of loss of ability to work and is:.

for military personnel undergoing military service under a contract, as well as mobilized - a percentage of 70 times the subsistence minimum (232,960 UAH);

for conscripts, reservists and those liable for military service called up for training - a percentage of 50 times the subsistence minimum (UAH 166,400).

“For example, for contract soldiers and mobilized workers, if a 20% loss of ability to work is established, the size of the EDP will be UAH 46,592,” the message says..

The department explained that if, based on the results of re-examination, the highest group of disability is established or its causal relationship is changed, the difference between the new and previously received amount is paid (taking into account the PM as of January 1 of the year of the initial determination of disability).

To receive an EDP, active military personnel contact their military unit, discharged personnel apply to the TCC and SP.

" If the state of health worsens and the group is increased during re-examination, the law guarantees the right to additional payment of the difference,” the Ministry of Defense summarized.
