A lawsuit was filed with the Economic Court of the Kyiv Region for the return to the state of three land plots in the Chernobyl zone with a total area of \u200b\u200bmore than 190 hectares. The Office of the Prosecutor General announced this on Monday, April 13. The lands are located in the Vyshgorod region - in the exclusion zone and the mandatory resettlement zone, which suffered as a result of the Chernobyl disaster. As noted, the plots were in the use of the government agency responsible for managing the exclusion zone. However, state registrars illegally changed their status and transferred them to communal ownership. Later, the right to use the land was transferred to a private company. “Since 2020, all these territories have been used for growing agricultural crops, in particular wheat and corn, without special permission, which poses a risk to people’s lives and health,” the message noted.. As it turned out, the basis for registration actions was the decision of the Polesie district council, which in fact does not exist.

We also used state land deeds issued to the former collective enterprise Svitanok, which is in the process of liquidation and has no successors.. The court has already opened proceedings in the case and scheduled a preparatory hearing. The investigation is currently ongoing. . Earlier, law enforcement officers uncovered a scheme to seize communal lands worth 11 million hryvnias in the Obukhovsky district of the Kiev region. .
