Ukrainians continue to receive pensions and other social payments. Victims of the accident and the Chernobyl nuclear power plant have the right to receive pension payments. The Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) in the Khmelnitsky region told whether the pension size for this category of persons has changed since March 1.

The PFU explained that from March 1, 2026, the minimum disability pensions due to the Chernobyl disaster, which are provided for in Article 54 of the law “On the status and social protection of citizens affected by the Chernobyl disaster,” have been increased by a factor of 1.121:.
for I disability group - up to 11048.25 UAH (or 1192.54 UAH);
for II disability group - up to 8838.60 UAH (or 954.03 UAH);
for disability group III - up to 6813.09 UAH (or 735.40 UAH);
for children with disabilities - up to 6813.09 UAH (or 735.40 UAH).
The Fund added that pensions have also been recalculated for category I participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident and family members of these persons, which are calculated taking into account wages for work to liquidate the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster or five times the minimum wage in the amount of compensation for actual losses.
“The recalculation of pensions was carried out by increasing the average salary, which was taken into account when calculating pensions (7994.47 UAH * 1.115 * 1.121 \u003d 9992.40 UAH),” the message says.
