Ukrainians continue to receive pensions and other social benefits. There are situations when a pensioner must return the funds received. On the Facebook page of the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) in the Luhansk region, they told about what changes the pensioner must inform about so that they do not have to return payments.

The PFU emphasized that the pensioner must promptly inform the fund authorities about changes in circumstances that affect the calculation of the pension payment.

“In its absence, charges and payment of excess funds are possible, which will certainly have to be returned,” the message says..

Facts that affect the calculation of pension payments include:.

employment or engaging in entrepreneurial activity (if such information is not provided, pension recalculations not provided for under these conditions by law are carried out in the event of an increase in the cost of living for persons who have lost their ability to work);

employment of a pensioner receiving a long-service pension for work in a specialty that gives the right to assign this type of pension;

change of area of \u200b\u200bresidence (residents of mountainous areas and radioactively contaminated areas receive a special allowance, the payment of which will be stopped when traveling to another area);

change of status (for example, deprivation of the status of a war veteran of a certain category);

change in circumstances that are the legal basis for assigning a special type of pension (subject to the employment of a pensioner who receives an allowance for the maintenance of a child under 18 years of age, the payment of such an allowance should be stopped; subject to termination of education or transfer from full-time to part-time education of the child of a deceased breadwinner, the right to the corresponding type of pension is lost).

The PFU emphasized that overpayment of pensions is also caused by such circumstances as:.

provision by the employer of false information about the amount of salary or length of service;

simultaneous receipt of a dependent's allowance and a survivor's pension for the same child;

withdrawal of pension funds from a banking institution after the death of a pensioner.

The Foundation added that in accordance with Article 50 of the law of 09. 07. 2003 No. 1058-IV "
