Ukraine has a shortage of missiles for Patriot, NASAMS and other air defense systems. The reason was that European countries began to delay their transfer due to the autumn Russian drone attacks on their territory, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said, Suspilne reports..

According to the head of state, Russia could deliberately stage provocations and drone attacks on European countries in order to force them to focus on their own defense and stop transferring scarce missiles to Ukraine before the winter..

Vladimir Zelensky noted that for some countries the transfer has become a complex political issue, but Ukraine remains grateful for the volumes of assistance that it still manages to receive despite the internal difficulties of its partners.

The President emphasized that Ukraine offered its partners to launch joint production of missiles for air defense systems together with Poland or Romania. However, today this decision remains blocked, since manufacturers are not ready to transfer licenses for such technologies.

" You know that 55-60 of them per year are produced today by American partners, but I know that they are working to increase, I won’t say details, they are even working with European partners,” Zelensky said.

The President added that Ukraine continues to purchase missiles for air defense systems.

On the night of September 10, during a massive Russian attack on Ukraine, a number of attack drones crossed the border and flew into Polish territory. The Polish military was able to shoot down some of them. At the same time, at least one Polish house was damaged due to Russian drones.

According to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, at least eight Russian drones crossed the border with Poland.. Prime Minister Donald Tusk subsequently said that about 19 drones had flown into Poland and that for the first time some of them had flown from Belarus.. At the same time, the media reported that 23 drones had flown in.

At least four airports have been closed in Polish airspace due to Russian drones. NATO allied planes take to the skies to enhance security.
