In Krivoy Rog, due to power surges caused by a Russian missile attack, water hammers occurred, which disabled the equipment of part of the city boiler houses. This was announced by the head of the city Defense Council Alexander Vilkul in Telegram on Saturday, December 6.
“Due to a missile attack on one of the energy facilities, tonight there was a sharp drop in voltage on the lines supplying large pumping stations of the Miskvodokanal and boiler houses of heating supply organizations with the shutdown and restart of these facilities. Large-scale water hammering also occurred. Equipment in some boiler houses has broken down,” he wrote..
According to Vilkul, the heat supply system suffered the most in the Ingulets region - equipment burned there. Repairers are currently working on site.
A few hours ago we managed to start up the last two large boiler houses using a temporary scheme. For residents of part of the city, this actually means partial commissioning of houses, as with a full launch at the beginning of the season.
Let us remind you that on the night of December 6, the Russians massively attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones.. The main blow fell on energy facilities. Because of this, Ukrenergo increased the volume of power outages in the regions.
It was also reported that the station building in Fastov was destroyed. “It was a senseless strike from a military point of view, and the Russians could not help but understand this,” said President Vladimir Zelensky.
