Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, in an interview with the British publication The Guardian, said that Ukraine is not afraid of American leader Donald Trump, because it considers the United States its friend and partner. The Ukrainian head of state also denied reports of a tense meeting and possible conflict with the US president in October, emphasizing that their relations remain “good and constructive.”.

Zelensky stressed that the United States has been a strategic partner of Ukraine for many years.

“Trump was elected by his people. We must respect this choice, just as my people chose me. The United States is our strategic partner for years, and perhaps centuries,” he said.

He noted that Ukraine and the United States are united by common values, which sharply contrast with the policies of imperialist Russia.

The president also emphasized that he has good relations with the British King Charles III, who, according to him, helped establish a dialogue with Trump and convinced the American president to more actively support Ukraine.

Note that during an interview with The Guardian, the light suddenly went out in the Mariinsky Palace in Kyiv.

" This is fine. We have power outages in Kyiv, like everywhere else,” the Ukrainian leader noted..

The President emphasized that Russia is deliberately attacking energy infrastructure, trying to use terror to break Ukrainian society.

“Putin orders terrorist attacks, killing civilians and leaving them without power and water.. “He cannot create tension in our society in any other way,” Zelensky said..

He emphasized that the war has reached a dead end for Russia - the Kremlin has not achieved its goals and is now trying to show at least some results to its society.

“Putin is in a deadlock, with no real successes on the battlefield. This is more of a stalemate for him.. It’s hard for us, but we are at home and defending ours.

But he has a different story - he radicalized his society, promised goals that he could not achieve. Now he needs to show at least some achievements,” Zelensky noted..

Let us note that in today’s video message, the President said that Russia has significantly increased the intensity of attacks and is more actively using ballistic missiles. According to him, this requires Ukraine to further strengthen its air defense systems and accumulate the necessary reserves of weapons and equipment..
