Vinnitsky noted that in 2025 it is expected to reduce the number of budget places for entering graduate school from 7,000 to 5000.

He explained that preference will be given to engineering and natural specialties.

According to Deputy Minister of Education and Science, a significant reduction in the number of budget places is due to the fact that 7000 last year there were too many.

“Last year there was a huge excitement.

It was connected rather with a delay than with a real desire to do, ”he said.

Vinnitsky predicts that in 2025 there will be much less excitement, so everyone who really wants to write dissertations, do research, create innovations, will take place in graduate school.

“But it is necessary that these places are not too much so that graduate school is not used for other purposes,” he summed up.
