In Ternopol, the Gorraiynoy Court acquitted Svyatoslav Zvira, who was accused of illegal storage of weapons. The case against a specialist in setting up high -precision weapons was opened in 2023 after searches in his house. Law enforcement officers seized several weapons units, which, as it turned out, were temporarily with him - for configuration and shooting, reports Supilna Ternopil.

Zvir explained that during the start of a full -scale war, many people massively bought weapons and turned to it for help. He actually continuously worked in the workshop, tuning for free for fighters for free. Among those who helped - special forces by the MTR, Corda, the SBU Alpha, the National Police, as well as the air defense warriors.

During the trial, numerous letters and certificates of military personnel were provided that confirmed his volunteer activities. In particular, Roman Melnik, Lieutenant Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, noted that Zvir helped him and the other military since 2014, without taking a dime for this. His skills allowed to save resources and time, ensuring the accuracy of weapons settings.

The court not only recognized the absence of a crime, but also initiated an appeal to the President of Ukraine with a proposal to award Svyatoslav Zvira by the Order for Merit. Lawyer Vasily Prutula emphasized that the court applied a unique norm - Article 43? Criminal Code, which provides for the recognition of the actions of a civilian as participation in the defense of the Fatherland. This approach, according to a lawyer, is extremely rare in judicial practice.

Now the court decision is not commented either in the prosecutor's office or in the court itself - the time is applied to the appeal.
