For me, as for all the people married in Odessa, the Day of the liberation of the city from the Nazis is a holy day. Every time, my generation, from the very childhood, the 10th anniversary is celebrated, as a day of joy and a day of remembrance. Those who survived Odessa during the occupation of 1941-1944 are to be remembered forever. Sometimes it seems that everything about this has long been known and understood. There is no sense in searching for new literature. But in life there are often unexpected situations. And again, and again, we will be reminded that in order to remember the generation, it is important not to waste connections with the very same history that comes to life in the memoirs of the First War.

I have no idea why I found another miracle book. This is the book by Leonid Souchon “Transnistria: Jews in the Hell” (1998). It was seen in a relatively small edition, but is still very welcome in Odessa. Well, I only saw it now. Rich in the fact that one very good person gave it to me after the death of my son, together with his small home library. I’ll master this library little by little. I axis book by Leonid Souchon. It's amazing that it's documentary. Because it is written in simple words, it’s a living story, because it contains the impersonal memories of people who survived the catastrophe, but retained their strength of spirit and humanity.

The author has carried out a great poetic work and named in the book the nicknames of the inhabitants of Odesshchyna - Christians, who fought the Jews at the time. These are the righteous righteous of the world. Rumanian Transnistria was liquidated. 10th quarter 1944 the fate of Odessa was liberated. At that time, more than 300 thousand Jews and those who owned them were blamed. Of course, you can only read about this with tears in your eyes. But without many tears there is no memory.

Once you find the book and dare to read it (perhaps with corvalol), this tribute to the memory of the Jewish Odessans will be generously given. And at the same time, I trust that you will also feel the joy of the river of liberation of Odessa.

The book, which so unexpectedly became mine, appeared with the author’s autograph. And this added special value to it in my eyes. Signature of creations by the author is also amazing. Axis of wines: “Dear Fanechtsi Lifshits - sisters in the torment and suffering experienced during the black fate of the fascist occupation of Odessa region (1941-1944 r. ) As a sign of great gratitude for selfless beneficial activity and acts of mercy, manifested in the huge work in the Odessa Association of people who survived the Holocaust. Author's view 02. 10. 98.

Signature" Evidently, when signing the book, Leonid Souchon at that time was the first ceramic worker in the post-Radian expanse of the Association of Victims of Nazism - first the International, then the All-Ukrainian and Odessa Regional Association of Jews їв - enormous ties to the ghettos and Nazi concentration camps. (Nina loves Roman Markovich Shvartsman) It seems to me that such a wonderful autograph is not just a gift note. The value of human warmth and kindness.

May we remember all the victims of fascism. May the author of the book be remembered. Glory to the liberating soldiers of Odessa.
