Italy and Ukraine: Work on security guarantees

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of Italy Giorgio Meloni announced the beginning of work on bilateral security guarantees. The meeting was held in a telephone conversation, during which they discussed the nutrition of the defense industry and the importance of the Swedish acceptance of the 12th package of sanctions by the European Union against Russia.

Having recently informed Zelensky from social media, the parties discussed food security and agreed on the work on their duties. The President thanked his Italian colleague for his encouragement and expressed hope for achieving important results as Italy heads to the G7's impending doom.

An important step was the declaration of support for Ukraine, which was signed by representatives of important countries, including Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Great Britain, and the United States. This document also became the subject of negotiations between the countries to enhance security guarantees.

In addition, Zelensky, having asked the Prime Minister of Italy to take the share of another “grain from Ukraine”.

It is important to note the efforts to develop and enhance economic connections between countries.

An important stage was the completion of the declaration of new countries, such as Cyprus, which occurred during leaf fall. According to the words of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kulebi, Kiev is asking for all UN countries to consider the possibility of accepting this declaration.

This is all to say about the growing international support for Ukraine in the context of security and sovereignty.
