Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny on Monday, May 1, had another telephone conversation with the head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley.

In a conversation with Milli, Zaluzhny said that the situation at the front is difficult, but controlled.

" The situation is difficult but manageable.. The fiercest fighting continues in Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka, where the enemy continues to focus its efforts on offensive operations," The Commander-in-Chief told Milli about the missile strikes by Russian strategic aviation and the daily bombing of civilian targets with guided bombs in the frontline zone. Recall that the president held a meeting on the morning of May 1, at which they discussed the night shelling, the future steps of the Russians, the provision of weapons and ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Over the past day, the enemy launched 19 missile and 13 air strikes. As a result of the shelling of Chernihiv region, a 14-year-old child was killed, two more people died during the shelling of Pavlograd in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
