The Security Service of Ukraine exposed six more collaborators involved in organizing illegal referendums in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson and Lugansk regions. The SBU reported this on Telegram.

The report says that at the beginning of a full-scale invasion, these people voluntarily went over to the side of the occupiers and offered them their help in holding fake plebiscites.

The SBU officers identified them, documented the criminal acts and detained them.. As a result of stabilization measures in the Kherson region, five residents of the Beryslav and Kherson regions were exposed, who during the occupation of the region became part of the so-called " Accompanied by the Russian military, they went around the houses of local residents and forced them to vote for the illegal annexation of the region to the aggressor country. For their work, collaborators received a “reward” in rubles.

Also, during a special operation in the Luhansk region, a resident of the temporarily occupied Starobelsky district was detained. She organized a fake declaration of will as a “member of the territorial election commission”. In particular, the attacker compiled voter lists, published ballots and prepared a voting protocol.. In April of this year, she left the zone of temporary occupation and arrived in the territory controlled by Ukraine to process social payments.. After that, the figurant planned to return back, but the SBU officers identified her in a timely manner and detained her..

Based on the collected evidence, the SBU investigators informed the malefactors of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: h. 2 st. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) and h. 5 st. 111-1 (collaboration). Three of them have already chosen a measure of restraint - detention. Investigations are ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
