Due to the military invasion of the Russian Federation, Ukraine has become one of the largest minefields in the world. To protect yourself during outdoor recreation, you must remember the rules of mine safety.

The Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine told what mine safety rules should be observed while relaxing in parks or in the forest.

Mine safety rules during outdoor recreation.

If you find an explosive object, it is strictly forbidden:.

touch the found object, move it or perform any other actions with it, especially try to disassemble or render it harmless;

carry out any work on the found object, especially those that can cause even a slight vibration of the soil;

smoking, using lighters, as well as other sources of open flame and objects that can form it;

use radio electronic devices (mobile phones, remote controls, car alarms);

fill an object with liquids, cover it with soil, try to cover it with something or perform other actions on it: sound, light, thermal, mechanical;

allow people to gather directly next to the found object.

What to do if an explosive object is found.

The following rules must be observed:.

stop, don't touch anything. Keep calm;

memorize the location of the object;

warn about the detected object of persons who are nearby;

move away yourself and take people nearby away (at least 100 m) from the found object. At the same time, it is necessary to depart along the same route (preferably trail to trail) on which you came. If a group of people leaves, then you need to move in a column one at a time and in the same way, track to track.

Report the discovery of a suspicious object to law enforcement agencies and special services by calling 101 of 102 (the message must be made without haste, clearly, indicating the exact address (landmarks) of the location of the explosive object).

If possible, before the arrival of law enforcement agencies or special services, do not allow unauthorized people into the danger zone.

Earlier we wrote what mine safety rules Ukrainians should follow when returning to the de-occupied territories.
