Despite the war, Ukraine continues to pay pensions and other social benefits. In particular, indexation of pensions was carried out in March. The PFU emphasized that, according to the legislation, in Ukraine, mothers of five children have the right to receive a pension with a reduction in the retirement age after reaching the age of 50 if they raised them before reaching the age of six and have at least 15 years of insurance experience.

The experts also explained that mothers of five children have the right to a pension for special services to Ukraine, which is assigned in the amount of 35% of the subsistence minimum for disabled citizens and is paid along with the pension.

In 2023, the living wage for disabled persons in Ukraine is UAH 2,093. Thus, mothers with many children have the right to retire at the age of 50 and can receive a pension supplement in the amount of UAH 732.55.
