A resident of Krivoy Rog in the Dnepropetrovsk region closed himself in the house and threatens to detonate a grenade, local Telegram channels report.
The incident occurred on Friday evening, April 21, in the Ingulets district of the city.
According to information from social networks, the man decided to blow himself up out of desperation:
his mother allegedly recently burned down the house, in addition, he has no funds for her treatment.
The police and explosives experts are already working on the spot, psychologists are negotiating with the man.
It is reported that he may not have one grenade, but a whole arsenal of ammunition.
As of 21:30 it is reported that the police detained a man. During the negotiations, law enforcement officers persuaded him to voluntarily hand over the ammunition and surrender.
