In particular, rivers such as the Vit, Dnieper, Desna, Seim, Sozh, Pripyat, Horyn and Western Bug overflowed their banks in the territories of Volyn, Dnepropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Kiev, Kirovograd, Rivne, Poltava, Cherkasy and Chernihiv regions.
The State Emergency Service assures that the hydrological situation is currently under control, and in the rivers in the north of the country there is a tendency to reduce the rate of water level rise.
At the same time, residents of the Chernihiv region suffer the most from the flood, where 474 households were flooded, Kirovograd - 323, Dnepropetrovsk - 269, Kiev - 210, Cherkasy - 181 and Poltava - 107.
Also, 170 houses were flooded in the Dnepropetrovsk region, 87 in Kirovohrad, 42 in Cherkasy, 29 in Chernihiv and two more in the Poltava region.
Roads were flooded in 30 settlements, of which 29 in the Chernihiv region and one in the Kyiv region.
