What to do if the gas meter is out of order.

If a gas meter that has failed or has not passed verification is the property of the consumer, the decision on the advisability of its repair is made by the oblgas, taking into account technical and economic factors.

If the oblgas makes a decision on the expediency of repair, the oblgaz is obliged to install a repaired household gas meter instead of a temporarily installed gas meter from the exchange fund within two months from the date of its removal.

If the oblgaz decides that it is not advisable to repair the gas meter, it is obliged, within fifteen working days after the results of the periodic verification (but no later than two months after the removal of the gas meter for periodic verification), to install its own settlement gas meter free of charge (with a standard size not larger than a household gas meter.

In this case, a household consumer cannot refuse to install a gas meter by oblgas.
