The level of optimism among Ukrainians is growing - poll

The majority of Ukrainians, namely 61%, believe that events in the country are developing in the right direction, 21% - that events are developing in the wrong direction. Such data of a sociological study was published by the Razumkov Center.

According to sociologists, public confidence has slightly increased, because in September-October 2022, the proportion of those who believe that events in the country are developing in the right direction was 51%, and the percentage of those who believed that things were not going right was 28%..

At the same time, at the end of 2021, 20% of citizens spoke about the correct course of affairs, and 65.5% believed that the country was moving in the wrong direction..

The level of optimism has also increased among Ukrainians - 49% of Ukrainians believe that Ukraine is able to overcome existing problems and difficulties in the next few years, another 36% believe that Ukraine will be able to overcome problems in the longer term, and only 3% believe that Ukraine is not able to overcome.

In September-October 2022, the level of optimism was lower by about 10%.

Sociological survey conducted by the Razumkov Center from February 22 to March 1, 2023. within the framework of the MATRA Program project funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine. Face-to-face survey only in those territories that are controlled by the government of Ukraine and where there are no hostilities among 2020 respondents aged 18 and over. Theoretical sampling error does not exceed 2.3%.
