To start getting medicines for free or with a partial co-payment, you need to:.

Contact a neurologist. The doctor will draw up an individual treatment plan and enter it into the Electronic Health System. Based on the treatment plan, the neurologist will issue the first prescription (electronic or paper). The prescription is valid for 30 days. The following prescriptions may also be issued by primary care physicians: family doctor, internist or pediatrician.

Go to a pharmacy that has a special “Available Medicines” sticker.

Show an electronic or paper prescription to a pharmacy worker. The pharmacist will suggest available products containing the desired active ingredient. It can also tell you which drug is completely free, and for which you need to pay extra.. The cost of the drug to the pharmacy will be reimbursed by the NSZU.
